Amber is an engaging and energetic sport and news broadcaster who currently works for Sky Sports and BBC Sport.

Wolverhampton born and bred, sports fanatic Amber Sandhu got her big break covering the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games for BBC Midlands Today. Before that, the sports science graduate and keen footballer and ex-county cricketer had been working on BBC West Midlands radio and working as a digital presenter for BBC Sport where she fronted the channel’s WSL and cricket social clips.

Following the Commonwealth Games, Amber was scouted by Sky Sports to cover Aston Villa and her beloved Wolverhampton Wanderers – from press conferences and manager interviews to pitch-side reporting for Sky Sports News.

An experienced radio broadcaster, Amber has recently completed a year-long shift covering BBC Asian Network’s news-based Drive show Monday-Thursday 3-6pm. She also hosted her own Saturday 3-6pm show for three years from 2022-2025.

Alongside a passion for men’s and women’s football, Amber has reported live from ICC men’s and women’s cricket and hosted sit-down player interviews across The Hundred for BBC Sport.

A popular corporate host, Amber has fronted awards ceremonies from Wolverhampton to Warsaw and works regularly with Westfield fronting several high-profile events each year.
