Topsy Ojo

Topsy Ojo is a former England International Rugby player, London Irish club legend, who has successfully made the transition into broadcasting.

Topsy played rugby professionally for London Irish for 16 years, retiring in 2019 having scored the most tries (85) and highest number of appearances in the club’s history (301).

An established commentator, reporter and analyst, Topsy regularly works for a number of broadcasters including ITV, TNT Sports, and Amazon Prime Video. Topsy is also part of the Premier Sports team, where he features across their EPCR competitions.

The Rugby World Cup 2023 was when Topsy’s broadcast career was taken to new heights, becoming the England camp reporter for ITV, hosting the O2 Inside the Line series, as well as guest appearances on talkSPORT, and a weekly column in the Evening Standard.

Topsy continues to cover the Six Nations for ITV as the main England reporter, and was formerly the co-host of the weekly Gallagher Premiership highlights show.

His broadcasting work also spans radio, where he commentates on games for BBC Radio 5 Live and previously hosted The Social on talkSPORT.

Beyond the men’s game, he has worked with the Red Roses, hosted their World Cup-winning parade for BBC, and is a strong advocate for the visibility and growth of women’s sport.

An accomplished corporate host, Topsy has partnered with many brands and companies, including Charles Tyrwhitt, O2, Allianz, Guinness, and Sage, to name a few.

Due to his legendary status with the club, Topsy was an ambassador for London Irish alongside being a trustee for the London Irish Foundation. He is also a passionate and committed coach at St John’s School in Leatherhead and works as a mentor for children.
