DR MARK PORTER
Dr Mark Porter is a partner in a busy NHS practice in the Cotswolds and an award-winning journalist and broadcaster. He spends half his week working as a GP in rural Gloucestershire and the rest investigating and reporting on the latest developments in medicine.
He is the medical correspondent at The Times and writes a monthly column for Saga Magazine. For the past 30 years, he has worked across many platforms for the BBC, including Radio 4’s flagship medical series, Case Notes, and Inside Health. He has also been a regular contributor on The One Show, Good Morning Britain and This Morning.
Mark has extensive experience in live broadcasting, both on radio and TV, and enjoys hosting and chairing live and pre-recorded events and symposiums.
Mark has been awarded the MBE for services to medicine and received the Healthwatch-UK Award for his contribution to public understanding of evidence-based medicine.
