KITTY SCOTT-CLAUS
Kitty Scott-Claus is a drag performer, actor and television personality who shot to stardom after cementing her place as a fan favourite on BBC’s RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.
The love child of Elaine Paige, Gemma Collins and Jennifer Coolidge, Kitty Scott-Claus is the all-singing, all-dancing finalist of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK season three, who delivered a performance that smacked with equal measures of cheek, brilliance, and genuine tenderness.
Synonymous with their eccentric stage name, Kitty understood the assignment when it came to creating her identity as a drag queen; “I have a large array of catch phrases and funny voices and I realised that whenever someone was being catty I would say ‘Oooh saucer of milk…this kitty’s got claws!’” and that’s how Kitty Scott-Claus was born!
A native of Birmingham, Kitty trained in musical theatre at the prestigious Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, London and began performing in drag as a member of all-drag Girls Aloud tribute band Gals Aloud which toured the country and the West End with a daft and loving tribute to the girl band.
Since her time on Drag Race, Kitty has appeared on shows such as BBC1's Celebrity Mastermind, ITV’s Queens For The Night, ITV2’s Love Island Aftersun, and made it as a finalist on BBC1's Celebrity MasterChef. She’s appeared in pantomimes up and down the country, including as ‘The Spirit of Soho’ in Dick Whittington at the Phoenix Theatre in London’s West End, ‘Shazza’ in the drag murder mystery Death Drop at the Criterion Theatre, and ‘Sis Titus’ in the sequel Death Drop: Back in the Habit, touring across the UK. With a growing fan base that has expanded beyond aficionados of the series, Kitty has a penchant for putting on a show that isn’t wavering anytime soon.
