Matt Roberts is a sports presenter, writer and event host with twenty years’ experience covering the MotoGP World Championship, Isle of Man TT, British and World Superbikes, Winter Olympics, NFL and football for the BBC, ITV, Eurosport and Discovery+.
Having graduated with a degree in Spanish and Communication Arts back in 2000, Matt began his career as a MotoGP journalist with rights holders Dorna Sports, before joining the BBC as pit-lane reporter in 2006 and graduating to the role of main anchor from 2011-2013. During his time with the BBC, Matt also reported regularly for Football Focus and hosted NFL play-off highlights and the Super Bowl live.
In 2014 he became the face of Eurosport's World and British Superbike coverage, going on to form part of the Discovery line-up that covered the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, and since 2018 he has presented nightly highlights of the Isle of Man TT and the British MotoGP live on ITV.
Matt is also a successful ghost-writer, penning numerous autobiographies including former MotoGP World Champion Casey Stoner, whose story, Pushing The Limits, was nominated for a British Sports Book Award in the category of Outstanding Writing.
Fluent in Spanish, Matt also works as a translator and bilingual event MC, and has been a regular host at the prestigious FIM (Federation Internationale de Motociclisme) Awards since 2013.
Furthering his education and experience, Matt graduated as a Master of Sport Directorship (MSD) from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2023, and is currently gaining qualifications to be an Executive Coach, with a focus on developing Conscious Leadership in sport.
